Under an existing on-call agreement, Environmental Partners (EP) completed a comprehensive peer review of the design documents of proposed Worcester Road Water and Sewer Improvements (performed by others), and is currently assisting the City of Framingham with the construction phase services for the multimillion dollar water and sewer improvement project along the eastbound side of Worcester Road. The work is within the State Highway layout along Route 9 and is proposed to be night work with an anticipated duration of two years starting in the Spring of 2019.
EP is also assisting the City of Framingham with the design of Phase II (Route 9 westbound), and future Phase III design. The site of the proposed water and sewer improvements consists of an approximately 3/4 mile long stretch of Worcester Road (Route 9) Eastbound between Concord Street and the Natick/Framingham Town Line in Framingham, MA. Land use within the area of proposed work is predominantly commercial, with small portions of abutting medium density residential areas.
Proposed water improvements indicated in the submission include the installation of approximately 4,400 linear feet of new 8-inch to 12-inch water main including water service connections and appurtenances. Proposed sewer improvements indicated in the submission include the installation of approximately 1,900 linear feet of new 8-inch to 12-inch diameter gravity sewer main including sewer lateral connections, associated manholes and structures, and ancillary appurtenances.
