The Future of Environmental Partners
When we started Environmental Partners, we had a very clear vision – build a company focused on true partnership with our client communities that was also inclusive and ensured that our people were vital in the growth, direction, and ownership of the firm. The work we have completed with our clients has ranged in services but has always been centered around improving the built and natural environments in their communities – from the cleanup of Superfund sites to design and construction of water treatment plants.
Our company has evolved and grown significantly over the last twenty two years and we are proud of the impact we have made throughout New England and within the AEC industry. Reflecting on this, and in response to rapid growth within just the last 5 years, we have developed an in-depth plan to support our future, ensuring that EP is better, stronger, more diverse, and more resilient than ever.
2019 has and will continue to be a very big year for EP and we are both proud and excited to announce strategic changes in leadership and ownership of our employee-owned firm, including the introduction of a new executive role, new owners, and increased ownership for many of our existing leaders.
Chief Operating Officer
Consistent with our Strategic Plan and our continued growth and diversification, we identified a growing need for a high level leader to manage and guide operations in a manner consistent with our core values. Promoting internally has always been a priority to ensure that our team members’ skillsets are being recognized, utilized, challenged, and encouraged, and we are most fortunate to have the talents, initiative, and leadership skills required to fulfill this role within our group of Principals.
As we continue to grow and diversify ownership to meet our clients’ needs, 2019 has seen exciting evolution in ownership. EP now has three Senior Principals and three new Principals. We have also increased ownership for other existing team members and have welcomed two of our staff as new owners. This orderly transition of ownership and leadership as EP grows is a direct reflection of our inclusive management philosophy and our dedication to being a preferred service provider to our region’s client base.
The Evolution of EP
When we first started Environmental Partners, there were two of us working out of our homes with a vision to build a firm that embodied partnership – with our staff as well as our clients. Twenty-two years later, we are a group of nearly 70 full-time team members with an annual rotation of approximately 15 Co-Ops and Interns, and approximately a dozen dedicated contractors. Our collective team supports each other and our clients with a consistent focus on collaboration, responsiveness, and quality. We are both humbled by and proud of our legacy, history, and reputation as our team serves an ever-growing number of New England communities while maintaining and amplifying the core values we envisioned over two decades ago.
We look forward to sharing more details with you all through our LinkedIn page in the near future, as our team is working on many exciting initiatives that will allow for us to better serve our clients and their communities while we continue to redefine EP.
As always, we appreciate your continued support and good will.
