In connection with DEEP’s Dam Safety Program, EP assisted the City of Waterbury completing inspections of two of their earth Dams. Inspected Dams included a Class B earth embankment with a total length of 450 feet, and a Class BB earth embankment of 150 feet in length which also featured a vertical retaining wall along the downstream face and a broad crested weir outlet.
To ensure that these Dams continue to work for the Waterbury community, EP made recommendations based on the inspections including a change in classification for one Dam.
