Construction Continues on the City of Gloucester’s Water Pollution Control Facility

The City of Gloucester’s Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) is vulnerable to coastal flooding and sea level rise. The new chemical storage building allows for critical chemical feed systems to be located above the 100-year flood plain.

Additional climate resilience at the WPCF are on-going with the design of a perimeter flood barrier to further protect the facility.
