Water Main Replacement in the Town of West Springfield

In the Ohio Avenue neighborhood of West Springfield, MA, water main breaks and interruption of service were becoming much too frequent.

EP assisted the Town by designing the replacement of 2,600 lineal feet of 6-inch cast iron water main with a new 8-inch ductile iron system, including 3 insertion valves and a connection beneath Route 20 that required coordination with Massachusetts DOT. Construction was completed in 2021 and the system is now operational!
