EP works with the Town of Westwood to reduce infiltration and inflow and extend the useful life of its wastewater collection system. The program entails a series of prioritized two-year projects based on flow assessment completed in 2015 and local knowledge of the system’s maintenance issues. The first year of each two-year project involves field work (primarily CCTV and manhole inspection) and design of a comprehensive rehabilitation project. Bidding and construction are conducted in the second year.
EP and the Town work closely with the MRWA to access funding from the I/I Local Financial Assistance Program.
